This is the first project that I undertook in San Francisco. Another joint Christmas present to Allison & Tina that now resides with Allison in the Marina.

The Design: This is mostly built from red oak, birch plywood and some dark wood that I can't remember. The shelving is plywood as well as the back (3/4" if I remember rightly) The sides are oak that has been sawn in half and the laminated back together with a dark wood accent strip. The finish is tung oil and wax. If I remember correctly, a sarcastic remark by Tina in May(6 months AFTER Christmas) got me motivated to finish this in a 3 day Memorial day thrash. I was definitely hampered by a lack of tools and practice when I tried this.
